UDA Hands Samuel Muchina Nomination Certificate Ahead of Ol Kalou By-Election

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has officially handed over a nomination certificate to Samuel Muchina as the party’s candidate for the upcoming Ol Kalou by-election, signaling the party’s confidence in retaining the seat.

The event was led by UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar, who assured supporters that the ruling party remains strong and ready for the contest.

“Wherever there is an election, UDA will be there. Whatever the situation, whatever the perceptions, UDA will be there and UDA will run with the candidate because UDA is a national party,” said Hassan Omar.

Omar also called for peaceful and democratic campaigns, saying the country must safeguard unity and avoid political intimidation.

“We believe that every opinion must be given an equal opportunity to participate in a democratic process without violence, without any form of intimidation,” he stated.

The Secretary General further praised party supporters and leaders for standing firm against division and political hostility.

Speaking after receiving the nomination certificate, Samuel Muchina thanked the people of Ol Kalou for believing in him and promised to champion development projects aimed at improving the lives of residents.

“I want to sincerely thank the people of Ol Kalou for the trust and support they have shown me. I am committed to serving them diligently and ensuring meaningful development across the constituency,” said Muchina.

The nominated candidate pledged to focus on infrastructure, youth empowerment, education and economic growth if elected.

“We want to bring development closer to the people, create opportunities for the youth and ensure every resident feels included in the growth of Ol Kalou,” he added.

UDA leaders expressed confidence that the party will emerge victorious in the by-election as campaigns intensify in the region.
